I have used goal setting worksheets for a number of years to accomplish goals. Today I want to review with you how I have used goal setting worksheets successfully in my life.
Know what you are buying. If you can’t see it (there is no sample shown), then do not buy it. There are many people out there trying to make a buck off the current popularity of worksheets. Many, if not most, of these people know nothing about mathematics, teaching, or how the brain learns. Anyone can type columns of addition, subtraction, multiplication, etc. problems; but these worksheets will be bad for your child. Don’t trust what you can’t see.
Is it easy? No way. It is hard to let yourself go and dream big. Too often we get caught up in the rat race of living month to month, moment to moment, those picky details. We do not let ourselves explore our true desires. Please realize this is not about what you can have. Those are just things. Things will not keep you happy. When you work towards the 4 hour work week, you will have the time to do the activities you always wanted to do. Ownership of ”things” will not help you do these activities. The Worksheet Change event will run every time a cell value or cell format changes within that specific worksheet. Users can use this event to mark any changes in yellow or change a time that marks the most recent update. This event can also be used to allow error checking and ensure that if a variable within a formula changes that the variable is not an incorrect input and that the variable will not give the formula an error.
There are some new materials being developed now based on what we are learning about how the brain learns. These brain-friendly materials should be an improvement over what has existed. I recently bought a book by Marcia L. Tate titled ”Mathematics Worksheets Don’t Grow Dendrites.” I highly recommend her book. She gives a great deal of information on alternative activities that are better for your child’s brain development and for learning.
Physical activity is not only important for your child’s health – it will help them cope with the sheer physicality of interacting with twenty children on the playground. Bumps and shoves are inevitable, so make sure your child has lots of physical play to develop gross motor skills too.
